CAN announce 24 members preliminary squad for U-19 Asia Cup

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday announced the preliminary squad for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup to be held in Malaysia later this year.
CAN has given chance to  all of the 14 members that played during the world cup qualifiers last year in Ireland in the list directly and added 10 new faces considering their performance in the recently concluded Wai Wai Under 19 National CricketTournament.
The closed camp training is scheduled to start from May 15 in Kathmandu.The team are as follows:
Prithu Baskota, Avinash Karn, Bhuwan Karki, Naresh Budhayer, Pradeep Airee, Rahul Vishawakarma, Rajesh Pulami Magar, Sagar Pun, Subash Khakurel, Subendu Pandey, Faizlur Rehman Khan, Rupesh Srivastav, Krishna Karki and Nischal Pandey have been called directly for the camp.


 While, Shiva Tandukar, Sushil Kandel, Prajesh Bahadur Singh, Gopal Singh, Binod Lama, Abhishek Jha, Hasim Ansari, Bijay Ghalan, Surendra Chand and Pawan Shrestha have been selected from the recently held U-19 national tournament in Kathmandu.
The ACC U-19 Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Malaysia from June 23 to July 1 and features the test nations India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Other teams included are the top three finisher of the ACC U-19 Elite Cup 2011-Afghanistan, Nepaland Qatar. Malaysia will play the tournament as the host. Nepal have been placed with India Pakistan and Malaysia in ACC-19 Asia cup Cricket
