NSJF Sports Awards on July 4 (20th of Asadh)


Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is organizing annual NSJF sports awards on July 4 in Kathmandu. ASJF is the annual sports Award organized by the sports journalist of Nepal to grow sports culture in Nepal. NSJF held a press meet on Sunday informing that the awards function will be held two days after International Sports Journalists Day (July 2). 

this award will be awarded in eight different categories namely  Pulsar Player of the year, Pulsar Best Player (Male), Pulsar Best Player (Female), Best Coach, Best Young player, Best Para Athelete, Lifetime Achievement Award, Special award and Popular player of the year.

The best player of the year male & female will get one Pulsar motorbike each while other winners in each category will receive Rs 30,000. 

The president of NSJF, Nirajan Rajbanshi revealed that the NSJF was thinking about providing one motorbike to the popular player of the year.

The awards function is sponsored by Hansaraj Hulaschand & Company, the official distributor of Pulsar motorbike in Nepal. H&H provides Rs 1.2m to NSJF, which is an umbrella association for all sports journalists working in Nepal. 

"We are happy to continue our sponsorship for NSJF Sports Awards", H&H director, Shekhar Golcha said. 

"Every year NSJF sports awards is becoming popular. We have never sponsored any event for so long. But we feel proud to be associated with this event". 

Meanwhile, a-eight member selection committee headed by NSJF Secretary, Mahesh Acharya will declare the nomation of the players this week. Stay with us to know the nominated players and method to vote for popular player of the Year.
